Process
In our first meeting we began to brainstorm ideas for what we wanted to do in our group of five.  We came up with the idea of using the five senses as an aspect for our project. Jennifer is sight, Micaela is smell, Jeslin is sound, Stevie is taste, and Orlando is touch.  We decided to have our five senses focus on a cup of tea. All five of us went to Oxford Exchange on our own time, and the restaurant which is across the street from the University of Tampa campus.  We each ordered a cup of tea and observed what we needed to in order to complete our individual part of the project.
Synopsis
Jennifer McElroy:  I show life and death by placing three photos in a row of the cup of tea full, half full, and empty. I use lighting to also present the theme of life and death.  The bright light used in the top picture of the full cup of tea presents that life is bright and full when we are first young and learning.  The middle picture is when the cup is half full and the light is a bit dimmer, this symbolizes when we are middle aged and half of our life is already over.  The bottom picture is an empty cup of tea and there is not much lighting.  This represents that the end of our life brings us our darkest and scariest moment, death.

Orlando Rivera: I represented touch with the 50 things to notice. In the first picture I use a gentle touch and sort of a bright lighting to basically show as if it were day time and that the tea is still a little hot which doesn't allow me to follow grip the cup as you can also see the yea still bubbling from it's hear. On the second picture I made it a little bit darker to make it seem as it if it were night time so the tea a little cooler and allows me to fully grip the cup and as you can see the tea is a lot calmer and no longer bubbling.

Micaela Figueroa: We wanted to show the point of view of a cup of steaming hot tea and decided to add the smoke and the individual consuming the delicious beverage. Also, the flowers in the air is a metaphor for the aroma of the cup of London Fog Tea at Oxford exchange.

Stevie Ruzich: The musical notes as the steam of the tea symbolize the emotional correlation between two seemingly unrelated activities. For many people, drinking tea and listening to music are de-stressors. Incorporating flowers into the cup juxtaposes the refreshing nature of drinking the tea (e.g. the stimulation) against the calming effect of it (e.g. the relaxation).

This process occurred on our own time when we were available to make it to Oxford Exchange.

The Art of Seeing
Stevie Ruzich and Frank Calo

Line
Lines come together to form a crossroad.

Shape
The circular pizza pan and pizza cutter are also paired with triangular slices of pizza and the serving knife.
Color
The bandanas, flag, and posters all bring out the color in this photograph.

Space
A wide view of an outdoor sitting space at UT

Texture
The pavement is made of different rocks, colors, and heights to form texture.

Emphasis
The greenery in the background helps make the flower stand out as the emphasis.
Balance
The apples and oranges are balanced by the darkness of the red and the brightness of orange.
Harmony
This graffiti art is composed of various different feathers, yet they are all balanced together because of the similar line work, colors, and sizes.

Variety
The different colors, lines, shades of light and dark, shapes, and patterns of this mural all contrast against each other to create an intriguing visual interest.

Movement
The still background helps your eyes see the movement of the water. The water shooting out and splashing back down into the bottom of the fountain also creates movement.

Proportion
The trees compared to the different levels of apartment floors allows the viewer to see the scale of the area. The chairs in the foreground also allow one to see depth and how the apartments are located behind the courtyard.

Unity
There are multiple elements within this photograph-the plants, different kinds of fish, the rocks at the bottom, the sunken treasure chest, and the log. All of these elements put together create a unified aquarium setting.

Rhythm
The palm trees, light posts, rows of greenery, and the line of the mulch all lead the eye on a continuous path.

Point of View
"Flowers"
Stevie Ruzich and Megan Kiley
Last week my boyfriend and I were having a difficult time, he was constantly picking bros over hoes. I finally told him enough was enough and broke up with him. I got more and more mad as I waited for a response to my text message, but I never heard back. Within an hour, I heard a knock at my door. I wiped the running mascara off my face and looked through the peep hole, this is what I saw.

Ranking of Perspective:
1. Wendy and Elizabeth
I think they did a great job simply depicting smoking a cigarette. It was a very interesting idea as well, that was bvery creative I would have never thought of it.
2. Jeslin and Berkley
They also did a great job. We liked the fact that they even payed attention to the line of the truck. It really emphasises the chaos that happens in the moment they captured. There small details in the whole piece that make it really powerful.
3. Michael, Dominic, Connor
We think the piece could have been strengthen by adding in some of the goalie gloves. There is also a possibility that they could add the goal post but you can clearly tell what the piece is about.
4. Alex and Erin
The piece was as good as it could be but the concept was lacking. It was a very relatable piece and was well done, they could have just thought of a stronger concept or made it more layered, in terms of the story line.
5. Micaela and Jen
They really should have combined the 3 pieces. There was a strong one but the other two were lacking. Either use one or combine all three. The last one isnt really cleear what perspective it is from.
6. Peter and Andrea
The concept was great, they really thought about it. Their element were really good but they could have added the emotion of the worker. I am not sure how you would make it better because of rules but I understand what they were doing.
7. Frank and Tara
All their pictures were great but there as one that was confusing. A picture taken over the shoulder was more like of a person watching them eat instead of them eating. The white boarder was also distracting.
8. Liz and Kofi
This could have been working wiith more. If it was a look through the ear it would have been really cool.
9. Ben and Spencer
There are lots of conponents that are missing from the picture. There is a that needs to be worked on.
